I have a 'range' of prices - as I expect most celebrants do - depending on whether the wedding is during the week or on a weekend, a small intimate ceremony without the bells and whistles, or a big affair that needs a lot of attention. I like to chat with you to find out exactly what you want and expect before I give a fixed quote. That way I can tailor the perfect ceremony for you, at a very reasonable price, so you're not paying for anything you don't want.
With that in mind the following information should be used a a guide only. Call me to chat about what you have in mind and how to work with your budget.
Intimate Weddings are perfect for couples who would like a small, simple, but meaningful ceremony with a handful of friends or family, or with just a minimal number of witnesses. Australian law requires a marriage to be witnessed by only two people in addition to the celebrant, so intimate weddings can be conducted in your home, or mine, in a hotel room, at a romantic location, in a park, on a beach, in a hospital or at a bedside. Intimate weddings are the perfect choice for couples wishing to elope or marry without any fuss.
Intimate Weddings can be conducted anywhere within the Sydney metropolitan area, the Southern Highlands, Blue Mountains, or Illawarra region. Additional fees may apply for weddings outside this area, or where parking or access is restricted.
Casual or Informal Weddings
Casual or Informal Weddings are ideal for couples who would like to exchange their vows with only close friends and family as witnesses.
Dream Weddings are tailored to your dreams and wishes, and aim to create a uniquely personalised ceremony involving friends and family and incorporating significant rituals or cultural traditions.
Price: Generally between $600 and $1,000 depending on the amount of work required to plan and write your ceremony. If the site of a wedding is such that I cannot reasonably perform another wedding on the same day (e.g. on a boat, a considerable distance from home, or in a remote location) there may be an additional cost.
Registry Office Weddings
A ceremony performed by a civil celebrant gives you the opportunity to have your wedding in any location you desire, and to have a ceremony written and tailored just for you. Registry Office weddings, on the other hand, must be performed in a Registry Office with a stock-standard ceremony. To be open, and so you can see the extra value you get from a civil celebrant, here are the current fees for weddings conducted in a NSW Registry Office.* By comparison, my weddings are excellent value!
